We are a strong believer in “Educate, not Dictate”, we use this standard when it comes to what we teach, how we teach & the emphasis on peer reviewed studies we rely on. We focus on the science, history & medical facts to teach our audience, rather than based in opinion. We hope to share our expertise in Veterinary Medicine, The breed, its history, the advances in medicine we use & so much more.

We offer a number of classes to our Puppy owners & to the general public (upon request). Below are a number of the topics we cover, that are either specific to the Toller breed or for all breeds.

Puppy Owners (In-Person) Classes: Our approved puppy families are invited to attend 4 of our main seminars as part of their puppy approval process. We provide our families with a total of 1.5 days of classes divided over the time we have our pups & the date to puppy pick up. Class Costs are ALWAYS included in the purchase price of our puppies.

      • Full Class Day: Our families are invited to our home for a full class day, lunch, snack & puppy visits on the main full day of the classes, in which we cover: “Canine Nutrition”, “Limited Vaccine protocols/ Auto Immune Diseases”, “Sterilization Options/ Benefits”.
      • Puppy Pick Up/ half class Day: We cover our “Toller Grooming” Class, Puppy Package, Paperwork, family photo shoot & more!

Public Classes (Virtual or In-Person): We do offer custom classes to the general public upon request. These maybe based on demand, what a family is looking to learn about or what topics we are covering. Virtual/ in-person will be based on how many people, distance, topics/ exercises & much more. Class costs are based on the factors covered above.

Canine Nutrition

Have you ever questioned what goes into processed dog food? Is it all the same? Are the ingredients human grade? Why considering a alternative diet can have major health benefits for your dog?

  • Exercises:
    • Body Conditioning: Guests will get to do a body condition exercise on our own dogs to compare their body scores, learn how to feel fitness, the health risks of additional weight gain & how we use conditioning to prevent illnesses.
    • Pet Food Labels:  Guests will be given a number of Pet food bags in order to learn their brands, prices, differences, ingredients, marketing tricks & if they have any type of certification governing their quality.

Puppy Immunity, Vaccinations and Auto-Immune Disorders

Canine Vaccinations are important. but when are they too much? What vaccines are required & which may not be recommended? Knowing the difference between “Over-vaccinations”, “Limited-Vaccinations” & “Anti-Vax” Protocols

While what we cover is very important for our breed, this same protocol, the risks of over-vaccination we cover, the different diseases & the science behind immunity in dogs applies to ALL Breeds.

Did you know Traditional Spay/ Neuter is NOT the only option for Sterilization? Do you know why your dogs hormones are one of the top factors needed in their growth & to prevent common illnesses. This class focuses on understanding your options & the global health concerns seen with Traditional Hormone Removing surgeries (Especially when done young).

This class covers:

    • Alternative Surgery Options – The goal of Preventing unwanted puppies & health risks of intact dogs while trying to prevent the removal of the dogs hormones.

How to Groom Your Toller

This may sound easy but many Toller families don’t know their options when it comes to grooming. Its important to make sure Grooming is a lifelong commitment to your Toller but is being done right. Whether you decide to find a local groomer, Groom your Toller yourself or work with your breeder, knowing what should or should NOT be trimmed is very important.

Our grooming course will cover everything from Nose to Tail when it comes to your pets hygiene/ maintenance:

  • What are your grooming options?
    • Groom yourself vs find a groomer vs have your breeder groom
  • What Grooming should or Should NOT be done on your toller
    • Groomers are important, however to many times we see Tollers being groomed incorrectly when owners don’t educate their groomers on what they want. This can lead to long term or permanent coat damage & other health concerns.
  • Grooming Tools, What to buy & what not to buy
    • Shampoos/ Conditioners
    • Scissors/ Clippers
  • How often to groom:
    • Trimming/ Full Grooms – Approx every 6-8 weeks
    • Nail Trims – Every Week!
